This is a czech sweet. The name is Trdelnik.

It’s called Kurtos Kalacs and It’s a cake specific to Hungary and Hungarian-speaking regions in Romania.

That "chimney" is a typical Hungarian dessert (at least I always eat it after I finished with, like, a dish/proper food etc.) and is called kürtőskalács. That'd probably translate into something like "chimney stalk kalach (sweet bread)". It is delicious. :) Try it, if you'll get a chance. ^_^

Everyone's arguing over the name while I'm over here thinking... isn't this just an ice cream cone but made of dough?

Hahaha they’re called kurtos kalacs and they’re sooooo goooooddddd

@BuzzFeed .. Its original from Skalica, Slovakia

In Germany they are known as Baumstriezel. But they don't stuff tons of sweet stuff into it. The Striezel is sweet enough

This is from Wiki: Kürtőskalács (Hungarian pronunciation: [kyrtøːʃkɒlaːtʃ] (About this sound listen), sometimes transliterated kurtosh kalach) is a spit cake specific to Hungary and Hungarian-speaking regions in Romania, more predominantly the Székely land.[1] Earlier a festive treat, now it is part of everyday consumption.[2]

We know this from Polish streets. This is hungarian dessert, but not on this heretic way! Just chockolade, oraz sugar!

Trdelniks in America is all about sweet! So unhealthy! While in Prague it's full of healthy fruits!😂

Why needs to ruin everything with lots of icing, sweets or ice cream. The original cinnamon sugar coating is more than enough to enjoy this thing. Not necessary to re invent everything.

Everyone here is fighting over its real name , chill , who fuckiiing care !!!? It looks delicious and that's what only matters here 😂😂😂

What have y’all done to trdelníks??? Y’all completely ruined it with all that extra crap on there. Disgrace...

Estela this is the Hungarian dessert that I told you about, but we don't fill it with that much crap 😀

I’m sure many Eastern European countries have a similar dessert, but this is undoubtedly from Hungary. I’ve been lucky enough to eat these in Budapest, made over coals, which produces the best outcome. But we also have a couple place in Toronto that make them, and it is always a treat to get one on a trip over the border.

Aram R. Alfares this is the dessert I was craving for when we have been to Germany and we couldn't find it. This one my grandma used to do it homemade when I was going to the village, just that usually you are eating it simple, with no ice-cream and shit...only with sugar, cocoa, crushed nuts or cocos😍😍😍

The original looks ok to me But Americans always destroy the originals with toppings over toppings... disgusting

Oooooh you are so mistaken! It is Trdelnik and it is from SLOVAKIA from Skalica! It is called Skalicky trdelnik.. The production of trdelník has a long tradition in the Slovak town of Skalica near the borders with Czech Republic. The original recipe was brought to Skalica at the end of the 18th century by the Transylvanian cook József Gvadányi, a retired Hungarian general. The original recipe was later improved by the inhabitants of Skalica to its final form now known as Skalický trdelník.
